We've started working with a freelance Ruby developer this week. It's been incredibly productive. Up to now, I've done the majority of the Ruby development work. Slowly.

Development speed benefits aside, the process of delegating work has value in itself. As I've written before, when you're not the one doing the work, planning becomes all the more essential. Articulating what needs to happen - and in what order - is always time well spent.
